Group accommodation for Schools
We love to see young people experience the great outdoors and it is such a privilege for us to be able to share this rich and special natural environment with your school.
It is our aim to provide you with an unforgettable and fulfilling residential experience and by keeping things simple you can rest assured that you have found a comfortable, safe and affordable accommodation choice for your group.
With panoramic sea views, the coast path and beaches on our doorstep and the centre of St Davids, Britain’s Smallest City, with its gift shops, galleries and stunning Cathedral just a short walk away, we can offer you the greatest classroom!
Our 3 purposely renovated barns can accommodate groups of all sizes and age. Each barn can be used independently of each other or booked by one large group. We can offer exclusive use of the site to larger groups.
As a family run farm and business, we are always on hand to ensure you have everything you need during your stay.
Good, honest home cooked food is prepared on site and all dietary requirements are taken into consideration. We have a 5-star food safety rating for our kitchen.
Dining halls can be used as social areas and for activities with tables that can be folded away.
There is plenty of large open field space for fun and games. Outside seating is available for each barn with fire pits for you to enjoy a night of melting marshmallows and watching the stars!
We encourage staff to attend a site-visit to get the feel of the place with a free night’s stay for 2 including breakfast, giving you the chance to meet us, discuss any concerns you may have and carry out risk assessments.
Our risk assessment procedures are updated regularly, all staff are DBS checked and we have public liability insurance. (Copies available on request).
Some of our regular guests include primary schools on activity holidays, secondary schools studying sciences, geography, geology and history. Exam preparation and revision workshops. Colleges and Universities undertaking field studies or networking programmes.
There are many attractions in the area which will integrate easily with the curriculum – St Davids Cathedral and Bishops Palace, numerous castles including Pembroke Castle, the birthplace of Henry VII, Carew Castle & Tidal Mill and Castell Henllys iron age fort, to name but a few. The geology of the area is outstanding and is of significant interest and we are perfectly situated for marine biology studies. You can book Boat trips or organise adventure days to experience Coasteering, surfing, kayaking or climbing. We have well established links with local AALA licensed outdoor activity providers. You can even visit our local Bug Farm!
Our prices are very competitive and you have the flexibility to plan a residential which best suits your needs. We offer free teacher/leader places and always do our best to work with schools and their budgets. For some children challenging circumstances means travel may not be possible but we aim to be inclusive with support for hardship cases.
